Traditional Thai medicine organize herbal festival to enhance the community

Mr. Sathit Pitutecha, Deputy Minister of Public Health, revealed that the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, together with more than 100 organizations from all sectors, organized the 19th National Herbal Fair under the concept of “Building the Thai Economy with Thai Cannabis, Thai Massage, and Thai Food” from July 6-10, 2022 at Halls 11-12, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province, to enhance industrial innovation and health technology and strengthen community networks and health service entrepreneurs to connect the domestic economy with the global economy in the future. There are interesting activities in the event, including innovation exhibition zones, business consultations and negotiations, exhibitions to present research, and exhibitions of herbal product innovations at all levels.

Dr Yongyos Thamvuthi, Director-General of the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, said that the event will delve into Thai cannabis, share knowledge, hold academic conferences, and organize 27 free training courses to promote household and community economies, open up perspectives on the benefits of medical cannabis and cosmeceuticals that can create the Thai economy, and provide services on Thai traditional medicine wisdom, Thai massage, and local food with herbs as ingredients.
